A little clarity before you go

Your questions. Thoughtful answers.

01When is the best time to travel?

Tanzania offers strong safari experiences in different seasons. Dry months often make wildlife easier to see around water, while green-season travel can bring dramatic landscapes, calving movement and fewer crowds.

02How many days should I allow?

A compact northern safari may work in 4–5 days. A more comfortable Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire journey often benefits from 6–8 days. Southern or western parks usually need more careful routing.

03Can Nkatera personalize a safari?

Yes. Nkatera adjusts route, vehicle pacing, lodge style, cultural stops, photography needs and beach or trekking extensions around the traveller.

04Which Kilimanjaro route should I choose?

Lemosho and Northern Circuit are often considered when travellers want more time and stronger acclimatization profiles. Machame is popular and scenic. Marangu uses huts. Rongai approaches from the north. Umbwe is steeper and less suited to first-time trekkers. Nkatera will recommend based on your experience, dates and risk tolerance.

05How fit do I need to be?

You should be comfortable walking for several hours on consecutive days, including uphill and downhill sections. Fitness helps with enjoyment, but altitude can affect even fit travellers.
